DOPC has launched voice over internet protocol (VoIP) service branded as Pigeon. Pigeon provides cheaper phone calls across the globe using an internet connection. Instead of using your traditional phone lines; Pigeon allows you to make and recieve calls using your existing internet connection at much cheaper rates as compared to a traditional fixed phone land line or CDMA phone line.
What do you require to use the service?
All you need to use this service is an internet connection, an ATA (Analog Telephone Adaptor) and an anlaogue or digital phone handset. Alternatively an IP phone could be used. A soft phone dialer for your Laptop or PC is available free of charge.
How to get started
If you have an internet connection from Direct On PC or any other ISP, you can purchase an ATA or IP Phone with the valid Pigeon subscription to get started. To use your Laptop/ PC and the soft phone dialer to make calls; you don’t require any additional hardware.
